Gingerbread Man

A couple days after we went to the Rancho Bernardo Inn, EJ decorated the gingerbread man he got there.

Santa!

We went to the same Santa we saw last year, and EJ had the same reaction.

EJ watched other kids sit in Santa's lap while we waited in line.

The Poway Santa House

So it goes without saying at this point that my phone takes terrible pictures, right? Right. 

Here's an article about the Poway Santa House! This is their driveway and the line for Santa. They had a movie playing for people waiting in line.

The safari room! There were so many animals in here, including that huge elephant!

This photo was taken by Mrs. Santa House herself! She was waiting at the base of the stairs offering to take pictures for people coming through her house.

I spy an ewok!

EJ wrote a letter to Santa! People volunteering at the house collected the letters, attached them to a pulley, and sent them up to a second story window. A person dressed as an elf sat in the window and collected them for Santa.

EJ had just seen How the Grinch Stole Christmas for the first time the previous day, so he was very interested in the Grinch.

The boys' first visit with Santa this year!

The band was lots of fun and clearly got into the Christmas spirit! Santa had just arrived on a fire truck with lights flashing and sirens blaring and joined the band for a song.

Christmas Tree Lot

 A few weeks ago, we went to a Christmas tree lot and picked out our tree! EJ loved running around the trees and watching our tree being cut down.
