Seven Months

Sweet Potatoes

          After EJ tried rice cereal a few times, we decided to move on to something more exciting: sweet potatoes.  EJ was more than happy to assist me while I made his and our dinner.

My tiny sous chef hanging out in the kitchen.  I get like 25% of my cooking finished with him here....

....And about 75% of it finished with him here.  He participates, but I wouldn't say he helps.  :)

Rolling Over

          EJ has been rolling from his tummy to his back for a while now (although he seems to prefer screaming until someone moves him to actually doing so), but he hasn't quite been able to get the hang of back to tummy.  When he's on his back, he's like a little, overturned turtle.  But no longer!  On Monday, he rolled off of his back like it was no big deal.  And diaper changes just got a lot more complicated.

In case you can't tell, this is the face of a baby who has just tasted sweet freedom.

More Swinging

           EJ's third attempt at swinging was his most successful yet! He stayed awake, and even smiled a few times.

Trouble

          Not too long ago, Trouble discovered that EJ is able to pet him, and now Trouble loves EJ.  This has complicated nap time a bit, because EJ usually takes his naps on our bed.  Now when I put EJ down for his nap, Trouble jumps up to get some attention.  You can imagine how I feel about Trouble waking EJ up to play, even if it is pretty cute.  Here's what was supposed to be nap time a few days ago.  

The pictures are really awful because I used my phone and it was dark in the room for nap time, so sorry about that!

Occasionally, they even sleep!
