Beach Baby

           It has been really hot in San Diego recently- like mid-90s.  We don't have air conditioning, which is only a problem for about two weeks (cumulatively) out of the year, but this is definitely one of those times.  We decided to embrace the heat and head to the beach.  EJ's already been to the beach a few times, but for his first time putting his toes in the ocean, we decided to take him to the beach in Del Mar where we had our wedding reception.  I can't say he loved it, but at least he didn't cry.

We were excited to try out our new sun shade, and it worked well!

Lily

          Yesterday, EJ got to play with his best baby buddy Lily!  Lily and EJ go way back.  It's funny to see EJ looking like the giant baby for once!

Going to the Playground

          Today on our way to Lake Miramar, we took EJ to Miramar Overlook Park and let him try out the baby swings and took him down the slide for the first time.  He seemed unimpressed.

Happy Birthday, Kyle!

          Today is EJ's Uncle Kyle's birthday.  Happy birthday, Kyle!  EJ must be very happy that it's Kyle's birthday, because he was all smiles when we took pictures today!

 Now that EJ is getting older, we ran into a new problem.  He tried to eat the birthday sign!

Six Months Old

          EJ turned six months old on Friday!  It's hard to believe how quickly the time has gone.  EJ had his six month doctor's appointment and his pediatrician was thrilled with his progress.  He now weighs 14 lbs 10 oz and is 24 inches long.  He's growing and developing better than expected, and we couldn't be happier about it!
          The biggest recent change is that EJ is teething, and he's having a really hard time.  He's so sad and cranky!  Luckily, he's still sleeping well at night, because the days have been pretty rough.  Come on, little tooth!
          Here's EJ with his Sophie the Giraffe.  In the first picture, he's four days old, and in the second one, he's six months old.

We're so happy and grateful for how far our baby boy has come!  We love you, EJ!
