We welcomed Aaron to our baking team with our favorite, chocolate chip cookies! He's finally big enough to help!

EJ loves his new apron. 

He had help cracking that egg. 

But he added it to the batter all by himself!

He always checks to make sure the chocolate chip bag is empty.

I forgot to take an after picture until we'd already eaten the prettiest ones! We made traditional salted pretzels and cinnamon sugar ones.

We baked cookies again, but this time I put the mixer down on EJ's table. 

He was so excited!

EJ loves using the food processor!

Broccoli + panko crumbs + egg + cheese

Ready for the oven. They tasted better than they looked! EJ dipped them in ketchup and ate four of them for lunch.

Baking with EJ - Oat and Wheat Bread

This time we made oat and wheat sandwich bread. Since we've been baking so much, it was time to branch out from desserts and start baking more useful items. Now EJ's grilled cheese sandwiches will be on bread he helped bake!  

He's getting good with a measuring spoon!

EJ loves turning the mixer on. I say fast or slow, and he does the rest. He prefers fast!

I let EJ help measure the yeast, so I was a little concerned about this part.

I forgot to take an after picture when we took it out of the oven. Here is is a few days later after we'd eaten half the loaf. It's not perfect, but it's tasty!

Baking with EJ - Granola

Aaron wanted in on the fun! 

EJ felt very strongly that Aaron needed his own spatula.

We still needed to bake it, but EJ didn't care!

Note to self: clean oven door.
